Vaccine Available to For-Hire Drivers March 29, 2021

On March 29, 2021, the District will enter Phase 1C Tier 2 making for-hire drivers in the District eligible for the vaccine.

For-Hire Vehicle Advisory Council Meetings

The For-Hire Vehicle Advisory Council meets quarterly and advises DFHV on the regulation of the vehicle-for-hire industry.

Barriers Are No Longer Required in Taxis

Ride-sharing restrictions have been lifted for taxis and transportation network companies (TNCs). Companies can set their own rules on ride-sharing, mandatory mask-wearing going beyond DC Health guidance, other safety protocols.

Notice to For-Hire Industry Re: Essential Services During Stay-At-Home Orders

This notice is to provide clarification about for-hire drivers, and taxi and transportation network company (TNC) services, given stay-at-home orders issued by Mayor Bowser, and the governors of Maryland and Virginia.
