The Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV) is located at 2235 Shannon Place, SE, Suite 2001, Washington, DC 20020. The phone number is (202) 645-7300. The email address is [email protected].

The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and closed on observed District Holidays. 

Face ID exams are offered Monday through Friday from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm. No appointment is necessary.  
One Stop and Face ID applications are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm.
DFHV has committed itself to support the District’s Vision Zero traffic safety goals. Face IDs can be picked up Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm.

Lost and Found office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
To comply with the DC Title 31 Section 1012.1 all For-Hire Vehicle Face ID Card Holders are responsible for turning in lost items to the DFHV

For-hire vehicle companies and operators offer services to millions of individuals each year. To ensure safety and service within the District, please report any complaints to DFHV.
