SUBJECT:        DC Government Offices Closed December 24, 2012

In celebration of the 2012 holiday season, I am pleased to announce that Monday, December 24, 2012, will be observed as a holiday. DC Government offices will be closed and non-essential personnel should not report for duty.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the hard work you have done this year. The dedication you have shown to this city and the service you have delivered to its residents are greatly appreciated.

I hope you can take a moment to reflect on the year that has gone by and celebrate it with those closest to you.
