Jon Zeitler is a senior business and legal executive with over 20 years of experience focused on high growth companies and disruptive products and technologies.
Currently, Jon is Executive Vice President at Cricket Media, Inc., a leading education media company providing award winning content and a safe and secure international learning network for teachers and families. At Cricket Media Jon manages the company’s B2B businesses, including content and platform licensing and institutional subscription sales. He is also responsible for the company’s corporate and business development and legal affairs functions. Prior to joining Cricket Media, Jon served as Executive Vice President for Corporate and Business Development at Zipcar, Inc., where he was a member of the senior executive team that led the company from venture stage through a successful IPO and saw the company grow to more than 750,000 members with a fleet of more than 9500 vehicles. Prior to joining Zipcar, Jon worked with a number of early stage companies, including acting as primary advisor to ConsumerSearch in the successful sale of that company to the NY Times Company in 2007. From 1996 to 2006, Jon worked at America Online where he served as Associate General Counsel before moving into senior business development positions focused on AOL’s web and international properties. Before joining AOL, Jon practiced corporate law in the Washington, DC, office of Vinson & Elkins LLP and served as law clerk to the Honorable Deanell Reece Tacha of the 10th Circuit US Court of Appeals.
Jon began his career on Capitol Hill, as Legislative Assistant responsible for energy and environment issues for Congressman Mike Andrews of Texas. Jon holds a BA in Public Policy and Economics from Duke University and a JD from Duke Law School. He lives in the District with his wife and three sons.
