What Is DC School Connect?

Photo of kids going to schoolDC SchoolConnect provides students a safer alternative to get to and from schools for elementary, middle, and high students enrolled in a public and public charter school in Wards 7 and 8 via dedicated buses for students in grades K-12.

The Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV) was tasked by the Executive Office of the Mayor to launch and facilitate the DC SchoolConnect Program. The DFHV collaborates with other District agencies and stakeholders including District Students, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) and Public Charter Schools (DCPCS) to ensure that this program is efficient and successfully implemented and managed.

 

Note: Registration closed on June 30. Registration will reopen if there is additional capacity after the start of the school year.

The following schools will be prioritized for transportation service for 2024-25.
