Department of For-Hire Vehicles

DFHV will grant Special Events Permits to out-of-state for-hire vehicle operators to allow the transporting of passengers
during the 2025 Presidential Inauguration activities in the District of Columbia. The application deadline is Monday, January 13, 2025
and the fee is $225 per vehicle. Note: Current Limousine and Non-District permit holders do not need a special events permit for the Presidential Inauguration.

Effective 12:01 am on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, through 11:59 pm, Wednesday, September 19, 2007 (unless earlier terminated by the Commission), there is an additional charge of $1 per trip due to increased gasoline prices.
