DFHV announces the beginning of Open Season for drivers to select or renew their Digital Taxicab Solutions (DTS) or Options for Payment Technology (OPT). DTS and OPT Providers service District taxicabs with digital taximeters. All licensed taxicabs in the District are required to have digital meters and DFHV is increasing its enforcement of this requirement. DFHV advises drivers to contact or visit DTS Providers’ websites for more details and carefully evaluate features and business terms.
Drivers who choose to switch their DTS/OPT Providers must do so before September 1, 2022. DFHV limits DTS contracts to a maximum of one year, September 1 - August 31, to protect drivers and expand their choices.
