THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA TAXICAB COMMISSION IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE:
Registration of applicants eligible to take the Hack Licensing Exam will commence on the following dates:
Saturday, November 8, 2008–8 am until 4 pm
Saturday, November 15, 2008–8 am until 4 pm

(A) If you have successfully completed the Taxicab Course at the University of the District of Columbia, YOU MUST bring the following documents with you:
1. University of the District of Columbia certificate of completion
2. A valid driver’s license
3. A valid Social Security card
4. Immigration documentation (If applicable)
5. First-time Testers-$58.00 Postal Money Order (ONLY), Payable to the DC Treasurer
6. Re-Testers-$26.00 Postal Money Order (ONLY), Payable to the DC Treasurer
7. Two (2) full-faced, color passport pictures with white background
8. (Re-testers must also bring their DCTC Test Record Card)
(B) IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE UNIVERSITY OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION, YOU MUST RETURN TO THE UNIVERSITY OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA TO OBTAIN A COPY OF YOUR CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION;
(C) IF YOU HAVE NOT TAKEN THE TAXICAB COURSE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO REGISTER FOR THE EXAM. PLEASE “DO NOT SHOW-UP” FOR REGISTRATION FOR THE EXAM. THIS EXAM IS FOR PERSONS THAT HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE COURSE AND HAVE ALL OF THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION.
YOU MUST BRING ALL of the required documents listed above with you. Failure to do so will result in delays.
On registration day you will:
- Provide DCTC Staff w/all of the required documents
- Register for an upcoming examination date by completing DCTC paperwork
- Receive a “Review Packet” (Study Materials)
- Be notified by mail with a date for your examination.
