(Washington, DC) – The Emergency Fares authorization by the DC Taxicab Commission will expire at 12 noon today, October 30, 2012 and will not be extended further.

Due to rising gas costs, an Emergency Fuel Surcharge will take effect at 12 am on April 29, 2026, until August 26, 2026.
A flat $1.00 will be added to all metered taxicab trips.
