The following rules were approved by the Commission on May 24, 2013, as emergency and proposed rules, to take effect today, May 31, 2013. The rules update the regulatory framework to implement the modern taximeter system (MTS). These emergency rules are only effective for 120 days. These same rules will be subject to a thirty (30) day comment period that will begin as soon as the rules are published in the DC Register (likely June 7, 2013).
