Effective June 27, 2014

The Department of For-Hire Vehicles will accept DMV vehicle registration requests up to 45 days prior to the renewal date listed on the registration; and up to 60 days after the listed expiration date of the vehicle registration. The agency will not issue One Stop Forms as part of the vehicle registration process that doesn't meet the regulatory requirements and fall within the aforementioned time frame.

The acceptance of DMV vehicle registration requests will be accepted during normal business hours and only in person by the vehicle owner or approved representative at DFHV, 2235 Shannon Place SE, 2nd Floor, Suite 2001, Washington, DC 20020.
