In order to enhance customer service standards and establish greater parity in operating and licensing rules throughout the taxicab industry requirements have been established for independent taxicab owners applying for new and renewed certificates of operating authority. The operating requirements of independent taxicab owners are aligned with the requirements for taxicab companies and taxicab associations.
All Independent Operators must submit an application and the required documents for 2018 Operating Authority renewal in the Client Services Department anytime Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 3:30pm. All applications must be submitted by December 15, 2017. Please call 202 645-7300 if you have any questions or concerns.
Each independent taxicab owner shall apply annually for a certificate of operating authority using the form below.
