Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA)
FY 2018 Transport DC - Transportation Service
The Government of the District of Columbia, Department of For-Hire Vehicles, is soliciting applications from licensed taxicab companies to provide taxicab transportation services. The approved taxicab companies will provide transportation services for MetroAccess clients for trips to and from locations within the District of Columbia. Transportation service will be provided by wheelchair accessible and non-accessible taxicabs, depending on the client’s needs. The Request For Application (RFA) release date is Tuesday, September 05, 2017. The RFA is attached below.
ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS: To view and complete the online application email [email protected] and have Expression of Interest in the subject line. DFHV will activate your online access within two business days and provide notification via email. Access will be granted to one email address per taxicab company.
APPLICATION PROCESS ELIGIBILITY: Interested applicants must complete an online application on or before September 18, 2017, at 4:00 pm. DFHV will not accept applications submitted via hand delivery, mail, or courier service. Late submissions and incomplete applications will not be forwarded to the review panel.
INFORMATION SESSION: An information session will be held at 4:30 pm September 6, 2017, in the Client Services Suite 2001 at DFHV 2235 Shannon Place SE, Suite 2001 Washington, DC 20020. ID’s are required for access to the building. During the session, clients will be walked through the online application.
ELIGIBILITY: Only DFHV-licensed taxicab companies are eligible.
PERIOD OF AWARDS: The performance period will begin in October 2017 and end on September 30, 2018. DFHV may elect to continue the funded program for an additional period of three years. Continuations would be determined based upon satisfactory program performance, grant compliance, and the availability of funding.
AVAILABLE FUNDING: Approximately four million ninety-five thousand three hundred ninety-seven ($4,095,397) will be available for one or more awards. For additional information regarding this NOFA, please contact Gladys Kamau at [email protected], or (202) 671-0567.
SELECTION PROCESS: DFHV will select grant recipient(s) through a competitive application process. All applications will be forwarded to a review panel to be evaluated, scored, and ranked based on the selection criteria listed in the RFA.
RESERVATIONS: DFHV reserves the right to issue addenda and/or amendments after the issuance of the NOFA or RFA, or to rescind the NOFA or RFA.
