The Department of For-Hire Vehicles is conducting a public hearing to seek stakeholder input on the Emergency and Proposed Modernization Rules, which were adopted August 28, 2017 and published in the DC Register on September 1, 2017.  The rules require all taxicabs to transition from the legacy Modern Taximeter Systems to new Digital Taxicab Solutions by October 31, 2017.
